This episode is the beginning of a series precious to our hearts called Sacred Plant Series: Overused & Abused. Out of a deep love & reverence to the Earth we will be bringing light to some power plants that need our support. Over this series, we will be interviewing various guests who hold deep connections to these plants to shed some light on how we can work with them consciously, as well as alternatives

In this episode we begin our Sacred Plant Series journey by brushing the surface of ethical wildcrafting, preserving future plant populations, and ways we can appreciate our allies. Part 1 of this series also brings light to our first two power plants that are overused in our culture, Coffee & Tobacco. We encourage some deeper critical thinking questions like who is actually harvesting the plants, are we supporting them/are they getting fair wage, what are the conditions these plants are growing in, are the plants being treated with respect? Because it all matters

In this episode M.K blesses herself with the nourishing support of Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium, Cleavers (Galium aparine), Oat Tops (Avena sativa), Lavender (Lavendula officinale), Wood Betony (Pedicularis canadensis), Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata ), Powder Blend Mushroom Blend – Brian & Body by Host Defense

Jesse Rose sipped on Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) & Dandelion Flower (Taraxacum officinale) that she foraged on her farm, and shares about her intimate relationship with them both

It is our purest hope that this episode inspires and encourages you to establish a deeper relationship with some of these power plants & plants in general. Stay tuned for a deeper dive into each power plant and as always we are endlessly grateful you are on this journey with us and send so much light to your reconnection with the Earth, yourself, and the collective!
