The last time I packed my backpack for a trip was when I went to Australia and Jamaica. I only had to pack for one season, summer…so it was pretty easy to fit everything I needed for warm weather. But now I will be going to Europe towards the end of summer and from there I will be heading wherever my little heart desires. I do not know how long I will be gone for or exactly where I will be going so I need to be prepared for basically anything. So here it is… everything that I will be packing in my backpack. This is not a guide to packing (although I will provide some essentials and tips), it is a list of what I packed. So without further ado here is EVERYTHING that I fit in my backpack….

Miscellaneous

  • Beats Pill Bluetooth Speaker
  • Headphones
  • Notebook
  • Book: You won’t always hav wifi while traveling so it’s good to have at least one hard copy book on you for long plane rides, train rides, etc. Check out my recommended books here.
  • Handheld Spiralizer: You would be surprised at how many simple meals you can make with just this spiralizer alone, such as a Zoodle Salad.
  • Sunglasses
  • Fanny Pack
  • PacSafe: This wire netting goes over your backpack and locks around it to keep everything inside safe! Its a great investment and will help give you a piece of mind when you leave your things behind to explore!
  • Go Pro and accessories
  • Adapter: This is the best adapter I have found. You can charge multiple things on it at once and has an adapter for every type of outlet all in one piece.
  • Chargers (laptop, phone, camera, etc.)
  • Travel phone: An unlocked phone that you can use as a pre-paid phone while traveling.
  • Flashlight
  • Locks
  • Laptop
  • laundry bag

To Pack In

  • High Sierra 55 Liter Explorer Backpack
  • Toiletry bag
  • Ultra Light Day Bag: I use this backpack for EVERYTHING. It is super light and folds into itself. It has a lot of space and a lot of different pockets. Perfect for traveling and everyday use!
  • Packing Cubes: These will not only help you fit everything into your backpack but help keep it organized as well.

DO NOT FORGET

  • ID
  • Passport (and a copy)
  • Copy of travel insurance
  • Credit cards
  • Cash
  • Phone
  • Emergency Contact Card: You should keep one in your main packing bag as well as on you in your waller or day bag.

This is EVERYTHING that I packed and I fit it all into my High Sierra backpack as well as my day bag. Make sure you adjust your packing to your trip and your needs. If you are traveling to warm weather you might not need as many pants or any at all, you won’t need a jacket or boots, etc. Packing for everyone is different. This is just a guide to help you make sure you don’t miss out on the important stuff.
